Cheri Laser began winning prizes for her short stories at the age of 12, and she wrote and produced her first play when she was 14, which won 2nd Place in a local talent contest. Her passion for writing was then channeled through a continuing exploration of fiction, as well as journalism and public speaking, for the balance of her schooling, culminating in a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from San Francisco State University.
The first 16 years of her professional career were with IBM in marketing and marketing management. During the next 15 years, she was a consultant for a variety of clients, including IBM, where she wrote audio and video marketing scripts for products and services. She's also been a speech writer for various not-for-profit principals with the American Cancer Society and other community support organizations, and she was a creative writing coach for middle school students.
Ms. Laser published her first novel, The Truth About Cinnamon, in December of 2003, and is currently at work on several new publishing projects.
